Elite Alpaca Fleece

Over the years we’ve sheared quite a few alpacas and we’ve seen quite a few fleeces. Every year the fleeces keep getting better and better. Our Riccardo crias are awesome this year!

This year the alpaca fleece that really stands out from all of the others and is considered an elite alpaca fleece… it belongs to the one and only Walnut Creek Antonio, a Riccardo cria. His fleece reminds me a lot of his mother’s full brother, 8x Champion Classic Peruvian Magic. His fine fiber is very bright and has a gorgeous crimp style that is consistent throughout his entire fleece. It’s the type of fleece that turns heads and wins ribbons!!!

So far we’ve taken him to two shows and so far he’s won two blue ribbons and a reserve color championship! We’re hoping to take him to more shows this fall so don’t forget to look for Antonio in the show ring! 🙂
