We’ve finally finished shearing all of our alpacas! The alpacas are shorn every spring. The fleece we get after shearing is incredibly soft. Alpaca fleece is softer and stronger than wool and it will keep you warmer too!

Cute Babies

It’s that time of the year again when we shear the alpacas.

This is so cute that I had to share this one… I caught this little cria nursing off her mom while Dave was trying to shear.

Got milk?

Then it got better… another little cria decided he was going to get some milk too. They were taking turns nursing off this female alpaca. She never moved the whole time while we were shearing her.
