Our Alpaca Farm

Walnut Creek Alpacas is a family owned ranch, located in the beautiful mountains of southeast Oklahoma near the small town of Talihina.  Come spend the day with us and see how wonderful the alpaca lifestyle can be.  Visitors are always welcome!

We use a very gentle hands on approach and spend quite a bit of time with our animals.  They are all very accustomed to being handled so they are very friendly and easy to handle when doing maintenance care.

Alpacas truly are the world's finest and most enjoyable livestock investment!

We have searched the US for alpacas with elite genetics so we may offer outstanding bloodlines of exceptional quality.  We are always striving to improve our herd with each breeding.  Our breeding program is aimed at correct conformation, fleece uniformity, fineness and density, fleece character, and easy temperament.

Latest Farm News ~

Magic Cria

Classic Peruvian Magic is now a proven herd sire!  The other day Magic had a gorgeous brown male cria hit the ground.  Wow what a stunning boy. I opened up his fleece and his fiber is already very bright crimpy.  Magic is definitely throwing himself not only in fleece type but in appearance too.  We have an awesome Magic mini-me here!!!

This cria is not owned by us but he is one of our star boarders here at Walnut Creek.  His mom is Bianca, a lovely white female sired by our AJ's Peruvian Alliance.  We have high hopes for her boy!

Show Updates ~

Show Ribbons
Riccardo's crias sweep the Oklahoma Blastoff Show!

The Oklahoma show this year was our first time to show in the Get of Sire class.  We brought 3 of Riccardo's babies which included BF Cleopatra, Walnut Creek Cate, and AJ's Peruvian Banderais.  BF Riccardo won 2nd place in the Get of Sire for his crias!  They probably would have won 1st place but Cate's furry face put them in second.

This year was also our first time to show in the Breeders Best Three class.  We brought 3 of BF Riccardo's babies which included Walnut Creek Antonio, Walnut Creek Cate, and AJ's Peruvian Banderais.  Our farm received a 1st place ribbon for Breeder's Best Three and Antonio won 1st Place in Bred and Owned Yearling!!  They were all BF Riccardo's crias so we were very excited to see Riccardo receive such high recognition of what he produces.
